The Marin County District Attorney's office believes that knowledge is power. Our office serves all residents of Marin County and community safety is our number one priority. Our team supports victims and witnesses through the many resources and help them navigate through the criminal justice system. We are involved in our community and stands by you through every step of the process. Our services include Crisis intervention, resource and referral assistance, orientation to the criminal justice system, restitution assistance, case status and restitution, court support, victims' legal rights, and victims' compensation.

The Consumer Protection Unit of the Marin County District Attorney's office provides mediation of consumer complaints and enforces consumer protection laws. Issues we mediate, Consumer-vendor disputes, including services contracts, landlord-tenant, construction and home repair, car sales and repairs, financial issues, internet sales, utilities, transportation and communications, insurance and medical billing, travel-related disputes, scams, phishing and mail/internet solicitations, neighborhood, community, and homeowners' association disputes.

The Insurance Fraud Unit of the Marin County District Attorney’s Office investigates cases of insurance fraud affecting citizens and businesses in Marin County. Some examples of insurance fraud investigated are automobile collision fraud and workers compensation applicant fraud. These violations are felonies.
